church elders

Our local congregation is served and led by “Presbyters” or Elders, who are nominated and elected by the local congregation to discern and represent the mind of Christ for and to the Church.

There are two kinds of Elders: Teaching Elders (Pastors) and Ruling Elders (ordained lay-people).

Together, the active Elders make up our Session and our Session oversees the faith and life of the local church. The qualifications for the elders are found in Timothy 3:1-17.
